The Last Will and Testament of JAMES CASON of PRINCESS ANNE COUNTY, VIRGINIA
Princess Anne County, Virginia, Will and Deed Book 3, Page 448 (1714-1724). Written 5 February 1720 (O.S.), Admitted to Record 1 August 1722.
IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN & in The year of our Lord, 1720 february ye 5th: I JAMES CASON of princess ann County being sich & weak in body but in a Sound & perfect mind & memory I thought fit to settle & dispose of all my worldly goods first recommending my Soul into ye hands of almighty God who at first gave it & my body toye earth to be bried in a Christian manner:
Item: I give & bequeath to my Son THOMAS CASON one hundred & fifty acres of Land whereon he now lives to him and his heirs forEver it being his full part.
Item: I give to my son JAMES CASON & my three daughters ELIZa (Elizabeth) WHITEHURST & SUSANNAH MORE (sic) & DYNER WILBUR to each of them one shilling a piece it being their full parts.
Item: I give & bequeath to granson CASON MOORE one young ewe.
Item: I give & bequeath to my Son WILLIAM CASON one hundred & fifty acres of land whereon he now lives to him & his heirs for Ever.
Item: I give & bequeath to my son WILLIAM CASON & his heirs all my moveable estate boath (sic) within Doors & without & do make & ordain him my whole & Soule Exor (Executor) of this my Last will & Testament revoking all others & keep unto this only The Day and date above written.
